Meet Chef John

Chef John grew up in Charlotte, N.C. where he instantly developed a love and passion for food.  Adults were always stunned with foods that he would prepare at a young age.  His mom worked in a cafeteria for several years and is known around Charlotte for her desserts.  His dad would make smoked turkeys, ribs and chicken for families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.  

When Chef John was 12 years old, he started selling sandwiches in the neighborhood and fell in love with all kinds of food.  After attending Georgia State University, he did 6 years in the Army National Guard as he continued to develop his vision for a catering company.

In 2014, he started Uncle Jack’s BBQ Shack which focused on the smoked meats that he learned from his father and uncles over the years.  He has since gone on to turn Uncle Jack’s BBQ Shack into Miller’s Catering Company. Millers Catering sells all types of food as well as Millers BBQ Sauce.  John is known for his creativity with dishes and pairing and seasoning skills in the kitchen. JOhnhas brought his talents to the TV show, Eat, Drink, and Handle Your Business on Taste on TV, which was just recently announced a finalist for Best Home Chef in a Series at the 13th Annual Taste Awards.

MEET FLEM

Jerome Fleming, director, and writer of Game of Love have always had a passion for the film industry and food . A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, Jerome is an IT specialist during the day and a creative influencer at night. After a successful 10 year run on Public Access with his T.V. the show “Certified by Jerome”.

Jerome has always loved cooking which lead to “Cooking With Flem”. During the segments he would make delicious food with his wife or nieces and sometimes even strangers. Never being afraid to try something once . Here at Cool Guys Cook we will try everything and let you know how it turns out.
