This Easy Homemade Salsa recipe is super quick to make and can be tweaked to your liking. Stay Cool!

Tomato Onion Salsa

When you have chips at home but you’re looking for something to go along with it, Homemade Salsa is the perfect go to food. It’s super easy to make and every cool person I know loves it. Plus, there are endless variations. New day, new salsa.

How to make Easy Homemade Salsa

First thing you want to do to make this Easy Homemade Salsa is gather all of you ingredients. I always say the worst thing you can do is get started mixing and learn that something is missing. Since this is a basic recipe add what you think you might like and leave others things you don’t like out. For example, when I was in the process of testing this I added 2 small onions. I must say was pretty good.

Take a look at the base recipe ingredients I have listed below.

  • 4 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 sweet onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 lime juiced

You want to get a large enough serving bowl then combine the chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped onions, and cilantro.

First Ingredients added

Into the same larger bowl you want to add the salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. The Italian Seasoning being added will add a different yet wonderful taste to the salsa. Lastly, add lime juice and stir.

What goes good with Homemade Salsa?

This homemade salsa goes great with almost anything you can think of. Homemade Air Fryer Chicken Tacos? Yes. Tortilla Chips? You bet! Long story short, anything you can dream of it will be an easy staple.

Can you Freeze Tomato Onion Salsa?

Yes you can. I bet you’re wondering why I would freeze such an easy recipe? I, like a lot of people that I know, have gardens and like every thing you grow in your garden you want to nurture it, keep it away from pest, and eat it when the time is right. So when you grow way too many or make too much you can store it up to 4 months. But trust me, if you have enough chips you might not have to worry about that.
